Starting Strength 3rd Edition by Mark Rippetoe

This book is a must read for all fitness coaches and athletes. If you are looking to greatly improve
your understanding of the basic barbell lifts (squat,bench press,deadlift,press & power clean) then  this book is something that cannot be passed up. Also, Mark Rippetoe illustrates useful assistance
exercises and explains guidelines for programming.


 
Practical Programming for Strength Training by Mark Rippetoe

After reading through Starting Strength a few times and having a solid understanding of the concepts, Practical Programming should be next in line. It is another book by Mr. Rippetoe and gives you all the tools to start building effective strength & conditioning programs!
